For this round, we have decided to bring Jonathan along, since he hardly follows us to such outings beside the one to Sentosa... and guess what? It poured so heavily that morning! We almost gave up going to the event but decided to wait a while since it was still early then. I think all of us agreed that Jonathan is a 贵人 (old times people used to refer to a high-ranking government officer) ... because there is a saying ... 贵人出门招风雨. haha..
Anyway, all of us managed to get to the zoo at about 9.15am. It was still drizzling then, but it was still alright for the boys, only have to 'cover' Jon up in his pram, he must be feeling very hot in there. Well, we stayed there for a couple of hours, to be exact, it's from 9am to 5.30pm, a solid 8.5 hours!! That is because the boys found a new playground, Rainforest Kidzwork, which just opened 2 weeks ago. The boys were really exhausted at the end of the day.
Share with you some of the photos....
"We going to the Zoo, Zoo, Zoo
How about you, you, you
You can come too, too, too
We going to the Zoo, Zoo, Zoo"
Jonathan is really excited after we have changed him. He knows he will be going out 'gai gai' soon.
It was drizzling, so did not manage to take a good photo of Jon at the Zoo entrance. We are about to set off, and the time then was only 9.30am.
Joshua has his face painted at the carnival.
Joshua met Edna's colleague at the carnival. They 'knew' each other at Edna's house when we celebrated her birthday.
Daddy and Joel, at the Rainforest Fights Back, waiting for the animal show to start.
All in attention when the show starts and they saw animals running across on the hanging rope.
This is the entrance to the Rainforest Kidzwork, isn't it wonderful? This playground replaced the older playground next door.
Before entering the Kidzwork, they have this Wild Animal Carousel at the entrance. Of course, how can the boys let it go... but I also find it interesting and fun.
Joel is riding on a flying eagle... because gor gor took up his favourite dinosaur.

Joshua on the Triceratop.

They have many other animals, like leopards, elephant, chipanzee, giraffe, zebra, etc, etc. So colourful and interesting.

Upon entering the Kidzwork, we found this small village hut that resemblance the past kampong houses. They even have the figurine that looked so real I don't even dare to take a pic of them.
You can see the TV set, fan, and even the sewing machine.

This is the kitchen area. hmmm... what do you want for dinner tonight?

Now comes the playground. They construct this place which look similar to that of Wild Wild Wet.

Joshua posing infront of the water spray.

Another picture of Joshua.

Look familiar? Yet, they have the 'yakult' pail, similar to Wild Wild Wet.
It's so colourful and interesting here that I told myself I must remember my extra clothings the next time I visit.

Joshua and Joel - waiting for the pail to fill up. Well, actually their naughty daddy asked them to sit there and they must do it for at least one round, otherwise we'll head for home soon.

Here comes the water! But where are my boys ???

Guess what? As we walked deeper into the garden, we entered into the prehistoric trail where we found the animated T-Rex! And there are more to come.

Althought Joel loves dinosaur, somehow he is reluctant to have his photo taken with this T-Rex because it is animated! It moves and roars!

Joshua and Joel with 'spiked tail'.

Joel with his favourite Triceratop.
He felt better after we explained to him that they are just rubber creature, and they can't walk out nor bite. Actually the dinosaurs look quite realistic.
Oh yes, they even have the olden days transportation to bring you across the river. See, they boys are pulling the rope to transport all the passengers across the water.
Joel and the bunnies.
The 3 boys after a day of hard play. They were very tired but yet seemed like still have endless energy to continue further. But daddy and mummy already very tired already lor...
Joel and Jonathan. See what a smiley face Jonathan had.
As we were on our way out to the exit, the boys walked through the Spice Garden and were facinated by the many plants there. They decided to take a pic with the giant mangoesteen.
Daddy and Jonathan. Actually Dick's legs have been swollen for a couple of weeks, but he still 'tong' to bring the boys to the zoo and he had been walking the whole day lor. He must be thinking this is tougher than going to work. haha.
As usual, the boys just liked to 'subdue' the crocodile each time we are about the leave the zoo.
Joshua and Joel posing infront of the elephants family.
Oh, the boys has also successfully manage to get their daddy buy them the dinosaur toys at the Kidzwork souvenir shop.
Joshua has chosen the pterandon, the dinosaur bird. All the different parts are magnetic and can be easily joined together.
Joel has chosen the Tyrannosaurus Rex. He has been eyeing on this T-Rex at the time we enter into the Kidzwork.
Actually the boys had exchanged their chance to ride on the pony with the dinosaur toys instead. Good deal? I think so.
