Jonathan 1st Birthday - 13th January 2009

Happy Birthday to Jonathan!

Yes, Jonathan is finally turning ONE on 13th!







13th Jan falls on a Tuesday but both Dick & I took leave to bring Jon out to celebrate. Our usual practice is to bring Jon out to celebrate at Swenson @T2 for their 1st year birthday, which we did so for Joshua & Joel, BUT this round we were a bit lazy to travel that far. Anyway we have to wait for Joel to come back from school, so after his beauty nap, it's too late to travel far anyway.





We went shopping at J8 and ended up New York New York for dinner. We have invited my parents to join us for dinner too. hmmm... why every time when taking family photos cannot see mummy one....







Jonathan kept staring at our food ... that is what happened lately, he keeps thinking our food tastes better than his. In a way, he is right! haha.

Jonathan's 1st & Joel's 4th Birthday Celebration - January 11, 2009

Jonathan is turning ONE on 13th January 2009 but we have decided to celebrate it on 11th which is a Sunday with Joel's. It is just a small family gathering where we have invited our parents, siblings, uncle Peter and a few closed friends to the party where we held it at our small flat. This is a day where we want our closed relatives and friends to witness our little baby, Jon, has already grown up! And since Joel's birthday is just about 2 weeks away (on 24th Jan), we thought of celebrating it together. Some photos to share with you .....

Another customary practice, Jonathan is holding on to a pen with a book, so that as he grows up he will be very knowledgable. Yes!

For customary practice, Jonathan needs to eat drumstick on his 1st year of birthday, but somehow he doesn't fancy the 'delicacy' we have laid in front of him. We should also give him 'tao gua', but mummy has forgotten to buy lor. aiya, that's for fun only la.

Manage to carry Esther again! See, Esther is smiling so sweetly... she is starting to get comfortable with Dick already... haha.

Joel is sitting at the corner trying to quietly finish his piece of cake, yet a group of us just stood next to him to watch him eat. What a disturbing bunch of people........

I have almost forgotten about the party hats I've bought for the boys..... but from Jon's look you can tell that he is not enjoying this moment. I think the frilly thing on the hat must have prick his head and he is frowning.... haha.

This cake design was chosen by Joel, of course, with the dinosaur design. It was originally on a rectangular cake, however, I have it changed to the letter 'J', since their names start with 'J'. Nice right?

Jonathan's ultimate achievement at 45 weeks old!!

My husband was on leave the whole of last week and has witnessed the transformation of Jonathan from just a crawling baby to pulling himself to standing position and then the ultimate - climbing up his baby chair and dance on the chair!!

I have not seen my 2 olders boys done that before. In fact, they only starts to stand and walk at about 1 year old and Jonathan is already learning to climb up a chair at about 10.5 mths!! And this clip is already dunno how many umpty times he has tried climbing up.

Jonathan is a TV addicts. When he watches TV program, he really concentrates and get annoyed if his view is blocked.

Jonathan loves to get hold of the TV controller. This clip shows him crawl to the sofa and pull himself up to take the controller.

I just taught Jonathan twice to separate 2 velcro objects and he can now managed it on his own.

oops... what a mummy I am, just learnt that Jonathan knows how to crawl and he has already been crawling for quite some time now.

Anyway, his 2 older brothers did not crawl, they just sit and then walk. Good for him to learn crawling, you get mobile and can move around the house earlier.
